I was in a small car accident where we didn't get the other drivers information. What should we do?
Answer:
You should always call the police in an accident.. Having an insurance card means NOTHING… Most times the other person will not want you to call police because they know they have no insurance. If they are covered, then they shoud be cool with it. I’ve had 2 accidents where the other person produced a card that was either expired or was in the previous car owner’s name.. With the police officer there at the scene, both these drivers received an instant ticket.
But for now, you need to call the other person’s insurance if it was his fault.. I’ve never seen a business card that didn’t have a person’s name on it.. Also call your insurance and give them all the info.
